Formula
Margin = (mid − offered) ÷ mid
Hidden cost = amount × (mid − offered)
Assumptions & limits
- Rates quoted as target currency per 1 unit of source currency.
- Add any fixed transfer fee separately.
Worked example
(1.085 − 1.062) ÷ 1.085 = 2.12%; cost = 10,000 × 0.023 = 230.00.
