Formula
Electrical kW = Capacity × load ÷ COP
kWh/year = Electrical kW × hours × days
Cost = kWh × price
Assumptions & limits
- Fans, pumps and standby power are included only if your COP is a system value.
- Divide EER in BTU/Wh by 3.412 to get W/W.
Worked example
7 × 0.6 ÷ 3.2 = 1.3125 kW × 2,000 h = 2,625 kWh × 0.20 = 525.00 per year.
