Formula
Hours = Orders × (lines × pick s + pack s) ÷ 3600 × (1 + indirect)
Cost = Hours × wage
FTE = Hours ÷ shift hours
Assumptions & limits
- Indirect time covers walking, breaks, replenishment and admin.
- Packaging materials are not included.
Worked example
800 × (112.5 + 90) s = 45 h × 1.25 = 56.25 h × 18 = 1,012.50 → 1.27 per order, 7.0 FTE.
