Weight (kg) = Width (mm) × Thickness (µm) × Length (m) × Density (g/cm³) ÷ 1,000,000
Assumptions & limits
- Core, end plugs and packaging are excluded — add the core weight separately for gross weight.
- Thickness is the nominal average; real gauge variation directly changes the result.
- Single-layer flat film. For tubing or folded film, enter the total layflat width × number of layers.
Worked example
1000 × 25 × 2000 × 0.92 ÷ 1,000,000 = 46 kg net film weight.
