Formula
Chargeable = max(Volume m³, Weight kg ÷ 1000) (W/M) or Volume m³
Freight = max(Chargeable × Rate, Minimum charge)
Total = Freight + Fixed fees; Effective per m³ = Total ÷ Volume
Assumptions & limits
- Results are in the same currency as your rate.
- W/M uses the common 1 m³ = 1,000 kg ratio; some carriers use other ratios.
Worked example
Chargeable = max(1.5, 0.8) = 1.5. Freight 1.5 × 45 = 67.50 < minimum 100 → total 100.00 (≈ 66.67 per m³).
