Formula
Output/h = Units ÷ Shift hours
Run rate = Units ÷ (Hours − Downtime)
Efficiency = Output/h ÷ Target × 100
Assumptions & limits

Worked example
4200 ÷ 8 = 525/h; ÷ 7.25 h = 579.3/h running; 525 ÷ 600 = 87.5%.
