Formula
Batch cost = programming + setup h × rate + qty × (material + finishing + cycle h × rate)
Price = Cost ÷ (1 − margin)
Assumptions & limits
- Machine rate includes operator, depreciation and overhead.
- Tooling wear and inspection should be folded into rate or finishing.
Worked example
120 + 90 + 100 × (4.5 + 1 + 6) = 1,360 → 13.60 per part ÷ 0.75 = 18.13.
