Formula
Volume = Σ L × W × H × qty
By volume = ⌈Volume ÷ (container m³ × fill)⌉
By weight = ⌈Weight ÷ payload⌉
Containers = max of both
Assumptions & limits
- Fill factor (typically 80–90%) covers gaps between mixed cartons; it is not a 3D load plan.
- Leave unused SKU lines at 0.
Worked example
38.4 + 36 = 74.4 m³ vs 76.35 × 0.85 = 64.9 m³ → 2 × 40HC (weight 14,400 kg fits in 1).
