Formula
Floor positions = max(⌊L÷pl⌋×⌊W÷pw⌋, ⌊L÷pw⌋×⌊W÷pl⌋)
Total = Floor positions × tiers
Assumptions & limits
- Simple grid pattern; mixed patterns can add pallets (e.g. 24–25 euro pallets in a 40ft with turned rows).
- Check height and weight limits before double stacking.
Worked example
40ft: ⌊12032÷1200⌋ × ⌊2352÷800⌋ = 10 × 2 = 20 vs ⌊12032÷800⌋ × ⌊2352÷1200⌋ = 15 × 1 = 15 → 20 pallets.
